Policy

Petro Makan Industries Development Company

System managers of production operations have resources such as labor, capital, land, materials, energy, machinery, and equipment available for producing products. Some economic problems at micro and macro levels lead to a reduction or deactivation of production capacity in production systems and the resources remaining unused. The statistics and information of recent years indicate that about 22% of the country’s industrial units in cities and industrial areas will be shut down by 2020 (Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization – 2020). The negative consequences of unused capacity and resources in production companies can be examined at both the enterprise and national levels.

Unused capacity in businesses at a macro level has a negative impact on productivity and reduces profitability. At a national level, unused capacity in production companies results in the national capital not being utilized properly and decreases overall productivity in industries. Additionally, some industrial investors and production system managers always aim to create a new industrial unit or increase production capacity, requiring cash and financial resources. To connect and share resources between industrial units with unused resources on one side and production systems in need on the other, the concept of “sharing economy” can be used. It is predicted that the sharing economy will be worth US$300 billion worldwide by 2025. According to Statista, the number of sharing economy users in the United States was approximately 45 million in 2016, and it will reach 100 million by the end of 2024.
